AMES, Iowa – Iowa State sophomore Nichakorn Pinprayoon has been named an honorable mention All-American by Golfweek. Pinprayoon is just the third women's golfer in Iowa State history to earn All-American honors from Golfweek.
Senior Karisa Chul-Ak-Sorn (2023) and Taglao Jeeravivitaporn (2022) have previously been named All-Americans by Golfweek. Last week, Pinprayoon and teammate Pammy Chookaew were named All-Americans by the WGCA, becoming the first pair of teammates to earn All-American honors in the same season.
Pinprayoon turned in one of the best seasons in program history, as her 71.60 stroke average is the third-best in program history. At 72.37, Pinprayoon currently holds the top spot for career average in school history.
With three victories in her career, she is tied for the second-most wins in program history. Pinprayoon tallied five Top 5 finishes on the season, while winning the Texas Throwdown, Wyoming Cowgirl Classic and the Big 12 Championship.
