Cyclones Announce 2026 Fall Schedule

AMES, Iowa – Iowa State has announced its 2026 fall softball schedule, Head Coach Jamie Pinkerton announced Wednesday afternoon. ISU will compete in eight games, with three taking place at the Cyclone Sports Complex.
The fall slate will span three weeks, with action set to begin on September 20 at the CSC against NIACC. The Cyclones will wrap home action in their next two contests, hosting both DMACC (9/23) and Kirkwood (10/2). All three games against JUCO programs will go for 10 innings or until it's too dark to continue.
Iowa State's first action away from home will take it to Minneapolis to compete against both Minnesota and North Dakota State on October 4. Both contests will be seven innings.
The Cyclones will round out the fall slate with the annual Big Four Classic. This year, Iowa will host the competition, as Iowa State will face Drake, UNI and Iowa in three consecutive days. The tournament starts with Drake, whom the Cyclones will travel to face on 10/9 before heading east to Iowa City to face the Hawkeyes on Saturday, 10/10, before finishing the weekend with UNI (10/11). All Big Four competitions will be nine innings.
All home matchups at the Cyclone Sports Complex are available to attend free of charge.
