AMES, Iowa - Iowa State women's golf head coach Christie Martens has announced the upcoming 2026-27 schedule. The Cyclones are slated to play in nine regular season tournaments, followed by the Big 12 and NCAA Championships. Of the nine events, Iowa State will be returning to seven events they participated in last season.
One of the two new tournaments on the schedule is the season opener, as the Cyclonitas will play in the Badger Invitational in Madison, Wis. Sept. 13-15. Iowa State will head to the Schooner Fall Classic in Norman, Okla. Sept. 19-21. Iowa State had its lowest team round of the season last year at the Schooner Fall Classic, turning in a 270 in the second round. The Cyclones will open October at the Windy City Classic, hosted by Northwestern, Oct. 5-6. Iowa State will close the fall portion of the schedule at the Stanford Intercollegiate, Oct. 16-18 in Stanford, Calif.
Iowa State will open the spring season Jan. 31-Feb. 2, as the Cyclones travel to Punta Cana, Dominican Republic for the Tropical Classic. Hosted by Purdue, the event was previously held in Puerto Rico. The Cyclonitas will look to defend their title at the Texas Golf Throwdown, as Iowa State travels to Houston for the event Feb. 15-16. Iowa State will return to Houston just a few days later for the Chevron Collegiate Feb. 22-23.
Another title defense will take place March 13-15, as Iowa State plays in the MountainView Collegiate. Alexandra Vidal's opening round 64 at last year's MountainView Collegiate was the lowest round by a Cyclone on the season. The Cyclones picked up their second title of the season at the event last year among 16 teams. Iowa State will close the regular season at the Silverado Showdown, April 5-7 in Napa, Calif.
Iowa State will travel to Las Vegas for the Big 12 Championship April 21-23. Iowa State won the 2026 Big 12 Championship, while Nichakorn Pinprayoon won the individual title. NCAA Regionals are scheduled for May 10-12, while the NCAA Championships are May 21-26 in Carlsbad, Calif. Iowa State tied for fourth at the NCAA Louisville Regional last season, while finishing in ninth at the NCAA Championships. It was the highest NCAA Championship finish in program history.
