The game was scoreless until the bottom of the third inning when Baylor's Carrie Leerberg hit a single to center field, sending Amber Daniel and Danelle Arnold home to give the Lady Bears a 2-0 lead. ISU got on the board in the top of the fifth inning when Lindsey hit a hard single to right field that sent senior Ashley Core home. But the Lady Bears came back hard in the bottom of the inning when Daniel scored and then Kelly Osburn hit a three-run home run to give Baylor a 6-2 lead after five innings.
The Cyclones added one more run in the top of the seventh when Lindsey hit a sacrifice fly that advanced runners to second and third and sent freshman Katie Reichling home for the score. But ISU's rally fell short and fell to Baylor, 6-2.
