AMES, Iowa – No. 19 Oklahoma rolled out to a 21-0 lead in the first quarter and never looked back on its way to a 59-14 win against Iowa State Saturday at Jack Trice Stadium. The Cyclones fall to 2-6 overall and 0-5 in Big 12 play, while Oklahoma improves to 6-2 overall and 3-2 in conference action.
Keys of the Game
Oklahoma rushed for 510 and finished with 751 total yards, controlling the game on the ground. The Sooners were led by a trio of 100 yard rushers. Quarterback Trevor Knight had three rushing touchdowns and 146 yards on the ground, while running backs Alex Ross (144 yards) and Samaje Perine (110) also topped the 100-yard mark.
Knight also completed 22-of-35 passes for 230 yards and three touchdowns.
Offensive Players of Note...
Allen Lazard had five catches for 51 yards to lead the Cyclones in receptions. The freshman has 21 catches in the last three games and 34 this season, which is the third-most by a Cyclone freshman. Darius Darks holds the record with 49 catches in 2008 and Todd Blythe is second with 39 in 2004.
D'Vario Montgomery finished with three catches for 88 yards, including a 59-yard touchdown catch in the third quarter.
Defensive Players of Note...
Sam E. Richardson had a pair of interceptions to go along with eight tackles. Kenneth Lynn had a career-best 10 tackles in the game.

*E.J. Bibbs had a reception for the 20th straight game, which ties for the fourth longest streak in school history.
*Iowa State played much of the game without starting linebacker Jevohn Miller, who was injured on OU's first offensive series.

*Montgomery's 59-yard touchdown reception was his first career score and the longest play from scrimmage for the Cyclones this season.
