November Student-Athletes of the Month Named

AMES, Iowa – Iowa State Athletics Academic Services has named Jocelyn Bice (Soccer), Madi Dohrn (Swimming and Diving), JR Singleton (Football) and Gerry Vaughn (Football) as the November Student-Athletes of the Month.
Jocelyn Bice, Freshman
Hometown: Norwalk, Iowa
Major: Biology
Bice played in seven matches in her freshman campaign and tallied one shot on goal. In her high school career, Bice broke her high school's record for most goals and assists in a season. Bice also was named as an All-State, All-Region and All-Conference honoree.
Madi Dohrn, Freshman
Hometown: Schaumburg, Ill.
Major: Mechanical Engineering
Dohrn has made her mark in her first season as a Cyclone as she has recorded herself as an all-time top performer in the 100 and 200 backstroke. In addition, Dohrn has swam to times in both backstroke events to rank her as a top-five Iowa State freshman of all time.
J.R. Singleton, Redshirt Sophomore
Hometown: Gurnee, Ill.
Major: Advertising
Singleton comes off a season having played in nine games including seven starts. The defensive lineman put up a total of nine tackles and tied his career high of three against Iowa and Kansas State. Singleton is also a First Team Academic All-Big 12 member.
Gerry Vaughn, Redshirt Senior
Hometown: Atlanta, Ga.
Major: Public Relations
Vaughn hit a career high of 11 tackles against Texas Tech this season. Vaugh also forced a fumble at Iowa and recovered a fumble vs. Oklahoma in 2022. Academically, the linebacker is a three-time Academic All-Big 12 selection.
