AMES, Iowa – Iowa State begins postseason competition Saturday at the Big 12 Championships in Denver, Colo. After a slow start to the season, the Cyclones have surged, finishing just outside the Road to Nationals top 25 at No. 26. ISU posted a 196.825 last time out, its second-highest score of the season.

Key Storylines
- Makayla Maxwell earned the season's final Big 12 Event Specialist of the Week honor after her 10.000 on vault last weekend. It marked the sixth perfect score in school history and the 11th nationally on vault this season.
- Along with Maxwell, Maddie Diab has also scored a 10.000 this season (floor). It is the first time in program history two Cyclones have tallied perfect scores in the same season.
- The duo of Maxwell (vault) and Diab (floor) were named to the All-Big 12 Gymnastics Team this week. This marks the third consecutive season a Cyclone has received All-Big 12 honors and the first time since 2015 with two Iowa State gymnasts on the team.
- Iowa State tied their season-best on vault at the Mizzou Quad, scoring a 49.300. ISU has not scored below a 49.025 on the event since the first meet of the season and is currently ranked 15th in the nation on the event.
- Maya Ford scored a career high 9.925 on bars at the Mizzou Quad to lead the Cyclones on the event.
- Kelsey Boychuk set a new career high on beam last week, posting a 9.875 to lead the Cyclones on the event.
- Sophia Steinmeyer has already made a big impact in her return to the vault lineup. She earned a 9.925 last week for only her second vault of the season.
