54 Named to Spring Academic All-Big 12 Teams

AMES, Iowa – The Big 12 Conference named 54 Iowa State student-athletes to Spring Academic All-Big 12 teams, announced Monday. A total of 46 earned first team honors while eight earned second team.
Women's tennis led the conference in their respective sports in number of honorees. Student-athletes from men's (3) and women's golf (3), softball (13), tennis (7) and men's (14) and women's track and field (14) were honored by the conference for their achievements over the semester.
Track and field student-athletes Brenna Cohoon, Kiki Connell, Grace Dickel, Dana Feyen, Cailie Logue and Ashley Tutt all posted 4.00 GPAs through the semester.
First team members earn the honor for maintaining a GPA of 3.20 or better and second team members hold a GPA of 3.00 to 3.19. Eligible student-athletes also have participated in at least 20 percent of their team's scheduled contests. Freshmen and transfers are not eligible in their first year.
