Leading Off: After a pair of home meets over the last two weeks, Iowa State will be back on the road this weekend, when it heads to Morgantown for its third conference meet of the season.
The Cyclones will aim to improve upon their season best score of 195.825 against Arizona State last time out. Freshmen Haylee Hardin and Frederique Sgarbossa stood out last meet, combining to earn three event titles, as each had a score of at least 9.900. Hardin earned a 9.95 on floor, the highest score by a Cyclone on any event and by any Big 12 gymnast this season.
After opening the season with a win over Temple on the road, West Virginia has dropped five straight headed into this weekend's contest. WVU is currently ranked 50th in the Road to Nationals standings, averaging a score of 193.850.
Storylines:
- Freshman Haylee Hardin has won back-to-back Big 12 Newcomer of the Week awards. She owns three 9.9-plus scores this season and has five event titles.
- Hardin is ranked 21st on floor exercise – the highest individual ranking by any Cyclone.
- The Cyclones are ranked in the top 25 on both vault (25) and floor (23).
- Iowa State had its highest floor and bars score of the season last time out against ASU, as it earned its highest score of the season.
- The team won both floor and vault against the Sun Devils.
- Josie Bergstrom-Te Slaa continues to compete all-around for ISU – a testament to her work and development over the years.

- Iowa State returned 10 gymnasts from last year's squad that made the largest improvement in the country.
- ISU has added four freshmen and one transfer for a team of 15.
- Noelle Adams and Josie Bergstrom-Te Slaa were both named to the Big 12 Preseason Gymnastics team.
- Iowa State's 10 victories last season were tied for the most since it won 20 in 2018.
- Sophomore Noelle Adams claimed 14 event titles last year in her freshman campaign. Those 14 titles were the third-most in program history by a first-year gymnast.
- As a team, ISU claimed 17 event titles last season.
- 2025 will mark the first year that Iowa State competes in a conference schedule, as the additions of Arizona, Arizona State and Utah put the conference at seven teams.
