AMES, Iowa -Â The Iowa State men's golf team heads down to Arizona once again to prep for the Bell Bank "Pay It Forward" Collegiate in Litchfield Park. The tournament begins with a shotgun start on Monday, March 24th at 9Â a.m. CT.

COURSE INFORMATION
For over 50 years, the Gold Course has been recognized as one of Arizona's most challenging and respected golf courses. Nicknamed "Arizona's Monster", the Gold Course has hosted many signature tournaments over the years, including numerous U.S. Open Qualifiers, U.S. Amateur Qualifiers, several NCAA Regional Championships, and the annual Patriot All-America Invitational--one of the top amateur competitions in the world.
KEY STORYLINES
- The Cyclones tied for eleventh out of sixteen teams three weeks ago at the Colleton River Collegiate. Iowa State carded 43 birdies as a team, the third highest in the field.
- Paul Beauvy finished in a tie for seventeenth at the Colleton River Collegiate, his fifth Top-20 finish of the year, leading the team. Beauvy has twelve Top-20 finishes in his career.
- Freshman Luke Metcalf did his part in contributing to the birdie mark for the Cyclones, carding ten birdies at the Colleton River Collegiate. Metcalf led the team along with Beauvy and Luke Gutschewski.
- Beauvy sits in first of the lowest stroke average in a season list in school history, currently shooting 70.78 strokes per round. Gutschewski is in tenth with 71.56. No Cyclone has ever averaged sub-70 throughout a season.Â
- The Cyclones currently have three golfers inside the Top-10 of the career stroke average list. Gutschewski sits atop the list at 71.56, Beauvy is in second with 71.83, and Owen Sawyer is ninth with 72.81.
- The Cyclones picked up two tournament victories in the fall season, winning the Gopher Invitational and the Zach Johnson Invitational.Â
