Cyclones Fall To No. 19 Oklahoma State

Ames, Iowa – No. 65 Iowa State fell to No. 19 Oklahoma State, 4-0, on Senior Day Sunday afternoon. The Cyclones finish the regular season 11-10 overall and 5-8 in conference play.
In doubles, Suzanie Pretorius and Valeska San Martin Ramirez played well on court three, holding a 5-2 lead before the match was ultimately cut short after the Cowgirls clinched the doubles point on courts one and two.
In singles, the Cyclones showed fight, winning the first set on five of the six courts. Oklahoma State showed why they were highly ranked though, as they clawed back to force third sets on four of those five courts.
The Cowgirls saw victories on courts five, two and four to clinch the victory, 4-0.
The Cyclones return to action on Wednesday for the Big 12 tournament in Waco, Texas.
