AMES, Iowa – The Iowa State tennis team wraps up its regular season on Friday, as they head on the road to face Kansas State. The Cyclones are looking to end their season on a three-match winning streak after taking down Cincinnati and West Virginia last weekend.
Oklahoma State has forfeited its originally scheduled match with the Cyclones on Sunday. The match will be counted as a win for Iowa State in the Big 12 standings, but per NCAA policy, will not affect its overall record.

THE SERIES
Friday will be the 53rd all-time matchup between the Iowa State and Kansas State, with the Wildcats taking 35 of the previous 52 matches, but the Cyclones have won four of the last five.
LAST TIME OUT
Iowa State picked up its first two conference wins of the season, taking down Cincinnati last Friday, 4-2, thanks to the clincher from freshman Valentina Vargas, before knocking off West Virginia on Easter Sunday, 4-2. With the wins, the Cyclones passed both the Bearcats and Mountaineers in the Big 12 standings.

Mari Paz Alberto Vilar has remained in the ITA Singles Rankings the entirety of the spring season up to this point, and comes in at No. 107 this week after a 1-0 weekend. The sophomore also clinched what proved to be a monumental doubles point with Ashlee Narker against West Virginia in tiebreak fashion. Alberto Vilar has now tallied 29 overall wins on the year and nine during the spring season.
