AMES, Iowa – Iowa State women's wrestling has signed Arizona prep standout Brooklyn Perez, head coach Alli St. John announced Thursday morning. Perez is the second athlete to sign with Cyclone women's wrestling.

Perez, a Valiant College Prep [Ariz.] product, comes to Ames rated as the nation's No. 4 130-pounder by MatScouts.

Perez placed third at the 2026 Girls High School Showcase in Las Vegas in April and sixth at the U20 World Team Trials. She is a two-time placer at the prestigious Super 32 tournament, placing fourth in 2025 and fifth in 2023.

The Phoenix native is also a 2025 Junior Nationals All-American after placing eighth in Fargo.
