XC: Competed at the Nuttycombe Wisconsin Invitational in the “B” race, finishing 87th overall with a time of 23:26 … earned Academic All-Big 12 recognition.

2016-17
Outdoor: Competed in three meets for Iowa State … ran in the 3,000-meter steeplechase at the Big 12 Outdoor Championships … ran to a personal best 10:23.19 in the 3,000 steeplechase at the Stanford Invitational, moving her up to No. 2 in ISU history for the event … took second in the 1,500-meter run in a PR 4:26.05 at the Musco Twilight.

Indoor: Represented the Cyclones in four meets … finished sixth in the mile (4:55.88) and fourth as a member of the distance medley relay (11:35.29) at the Big 12 Indoor Championships … finished second in the mile at the Hawkeye Invitational (4:56.61) and Larry Wieczorek Invitational (4:55.72) … ran in the 3,000 at the Iowa State Classic (9:45.00).

XC: Saw action at the season-opening Hawkeye Invitational … finished 2^ndoverall (10:21) to help the Cyclones to a 3-3-1 dual scoring record at the meet … also ran in the open race at the Nuttycombe Wisconsin Invitational, placing 55^th in that event with a time of 22:48.

Summer 2016
Recorded a personal-best 10:43.63, a nine-second PR, en route to finishing sixth in the 3,000-meter steeplechase at the USATF Junior Championships.

2015-16
Outdoor: Took part in five meets for Iowa State … finished 11th in the 3,000-meter steeplechase at the Big 12 Championships in a personal-best time of 10:52.45 … earned first collegiate event win in 3,000m steeplechase at the Musco Twilight with a then-personal best 10:55.62, a 23-second PR … took third in steeplechase at Jim Duncan Invitational … ran in the 1,500-meter run at the San Francisco State Distance Carnival and Tulsa Duels … also competed in 800-meter run at Tulsa.

Indoor: Competed in five meets for Iowa State … competed in the mile and 3,000-meter run at the Big 12 Championships … finished second in her section of the mile at the Iowa State Classic … finished ninth in the 3,000 at the Razorback Invitational … ran the 1,000 at Big 4 Duals and Holiday Inn Invitational … also competed in the mile at the Big 4 Duals.

XC: Redshirted her initial cross country season.

High School
Gibbons was a four-time Iowa High School state champion, winning individual titles in cross country in 2013 and 2014, while taking the 1500 and 3000-meter 3A crowns in 2014...ran a top-50 time in the country to take home the 3000-meter state title, clocking a 9:59.31...won state cross country titles at each 4A (Dowling) and 3A &2A (Gilbert) levels, leading three state championship teams...was the first runner to win individual state titles at the 2A, 3A and 4A competition levels levels...took second place at the 2013 Heartland Classic.

Born March 17, 1997 ... daught of Jim and Anne Gibbons ... father, Jim, was a national championship-winning, three-time All-American wrestler at Iowa State, who would later go on to coach the Cyclone wrestling program for seven seasons, leading ISU to the 1987 NCAA Championship ... supply chain management major.
