Outdoor: Took part in the hammer throw at six meets … finished his season with a personal best 180-4 (54.97m) to finish 10th in the hammer at the Big 12 Outdoor Championships … set or matched his then-personal best in four of six meets … matched his then PR of 178-5 (54.38m) to finish fourth at the Nebraska Invitational, a mark he also earned when finishing sixth at the Musco Twilight … also competed in the hammer throw at the Tulsa Duels, Sun Angel Classic and Michael Johnson Invitational.
Indoor: Competed in the weight throw at seven meets … finished ninth at the Big 12 Indoor Championships with a personal best throw of 57-2 3/4 (17.44m) … took fourth at the Hawkeye Invitational (52-8 1/4, 16.06m) … also competed at the Cyclone Duals, Larry Wieczorek Invitational, Husker Invitational, Iowa State Classic and Nebraska Tune-Up.
2016-17
Outdoor: Represented Iowa State in six meets, all in the hammer throw … finished 14th in the hammer throw at the Big 12 Outdoor Championships … throw a personal best 175-8 to finish eighth in the hammer at the Musco Twilight … took third in the hammer at the Tulsa Duels … also competed in the Sun Angel Classic, Kip Janvrin Open and Nebraska Invite.
Indoor: Competed for Iowa State in four meets … threw a season-best 51-11 in the weight throw at the Hawkeye Invitational to finish eighth … also finished eighth in the weight throw at the Larry Wieczorek Invitational … also competed in the Husker Invitational and the Iowa State Classic.
Cloud County CC
Qualified for the NJCAA National Championships three times during his two-year career at Cloud County CC for head coach Harry Kitchner and throws coach Ted Schmitz … qualified for the javelin, hammer throw and discus at the 2016 NJCAA Outdoor National Championships, finishing in the top-20 of all three … finished third in the hammer throw at the NJCAA Region VI Outdoor Championships … set personal best in the weight throw at the 2016 NJCAA Indoor Championships … also qualified for the 2015 NJCAA Indoor National Championships in the weight throw.
