Played in all but one game for ISU, making 50 starts all at first … had 37 hits, 19 of which went for extra bases, with 23 RBI and 26 runs scored … went a perfect eight for eight on stolen bases – recording the second most on the team … finishes her Iowa State career having played in the third most games ever … is among the school’s top ten lists for at-bats (3rd), hits (5th), doubles (3rd), triples (3rd), home runs (6th), RBI (9th), runs (2nd), walks (2nd), HBP (3rd) and stolen bases (2nd). 2023Â (Senior)
Appeared in all but one game for the Cyclones this season, making 53 starts between first base and leftfield … drew a team-high 27 walks, the eighth most in a single season in program history … led the team in stolen bases for the second straight season with 13 … had a batting average of .248 on 35 hits with 18 going for extra bases … had a team-high four triples which were the second most in conference … scored 30 runs and drove in 25 … was second on the team in home runs with seven.
2022 (Junior)
Started 51 of 55 games in left field … primarily hit from the lead-off spot … averaged .313 with 12 doubles, three triples, six home runs and 19 RBIs ... stole 15 bases on 16 attempts, the 10th most in program history … ended the year with a .977 career stolen base percentage (43-of-44), tied for the second best among active Division I players … scored 52 runs which were eighth in the Big 12 and tied her total form last year for the third most in a season in program history … averaged 1.02 runs per game, the 20th-best mark in the nation … slugged .553 and reached base at a .441 clip … her three triples were fourth in the Big 12 and her 12 doubles ranked 10th in the league … was hit by a pitch nine times, tied for the third most in the conference … finished the season with 14 multi-hit games, the second most on the team … also tallied five multi-RBI performances … put together a team-best 15-game reached-base streak during the season … suffered an ankle injury in the series finale at Baylor which caused her to miss four games, snapping a 128-game start streak for the junior, dating back to the third game of her career.
2021 (Sophomore)
Appeared in and started all 57 games for the Cyclones at first base ... hit lead-off in Jamie Pinkerton's batting order ... ranked No. 2 on the team with 52 runs scored ... stole 14 bases on 14 attempts to rank No. 2 on the team ... had a .323 batting average with 63 hits, nine doubles, eight home runs and 31 RBI on the year ... ended the season with a .995 fielding percentage ... hit a seventh-inning home run to beat UNI at the NCAA Columbia Regional, sending Iowa State to its first-ever regional final ... went 3-of-4 with three RBI and three runs scored in a win vs. Saint Louis.
2020 (Freshman)
Appeared in all 24 games of her freshman season … made 23 starts at first base … was Iowa State's team leader in runs scored (19) and stolen bases (14 on 14 attempts) ... ranked No. 2 on the team in base hits (23), batting average (.319) and slugging percentage (.542) ... was excellent defensively at first base, touting a 1.000 fielding percentage with 129 putouts and one assist ... went 2-for-3 with a home run, a triple and a stolen base vs. Penn State.
High SchoolÂ
Spelhaug came to Iowa State following an outstanding prep career Pleasant Valley ... helped lead her PVHS squad to back-to-back state titles ... was twice been named the captain of the All-Tournament Team at state ... named MAC Conference Player of the Year in 2018 ... also named the 2018 Metro Player of the Year ... hit .479 with 44 RBIs and 10 home runs as a junior.
