AMES, Iowa ? Senior Julia Lindsey had two hits and two runs and junior Kim Rogers added a run and two RBI to help lead Iowa State to a 6-3 win over Drake on Thursday afternoon at the Southwest Athletic Complex. The win, which snapped a three-game losing streak for the Cyclones, improved ISU's record to 11-25 overall. Drake falls to 24-19 overall. Freshman Alyssa Ransom was on the mound for the Cyclones and struck out six Drake batters. She improved her record to 8-14.
The game was scoreless until the Cyclones got on the board in the bottom of the third inning. Junior Misty Kimura drove in ISU's first run when she hit a single to center field and ended up on third base, scoring Ashley Killeen and Julia Lindsey.
