The Cyclones found the scoreboard in the fourth when sophomore Jessica Quade blasted a home run to center field, her second home run of the season. Sophomore Katie Reichling hit a single to centerfield after that to keep ISU moving but two strikeouts after that ended the
The Tigers added one more run in the bottom of the fourth and another in the bottom of the fifth to take the 9-1 win. The Cyclones had three hits in the game, two by Reichling and another one by Quade. Junior Kristen Karanzias and Reichling each saw time on the pitching mound and combined for three strikeouts. Reichling took the loss, her record falling to 6-7 on the year.

The Cyclones scored in the top of the fifth inning when senior Misty Kimura scored off a fielder's choice, which nabbed senior Amber Wood at third base. The inning started out with Kimura hitting a single to left field. After freshman Stephanie Mosley flied out to right field, Wood hit a single to left field, which advanced Kimura to second. Freshman Paige Jensen then hit a single to right field, advancing Wood and Kimura to second and third, respectively. Senior Kim Rodgers hit into a fielder's choice, which scored Kimura. The inning, and the game, ended on a Quade strike out. The final score was 11-1.
The Cyclones had four hits, one each by Rodgers, Kimura, Wood and Jensen.
Sophomore Alyssa Ransom and Reichling each saw time on the mound, with Ransom taking the loss, her record falling to 6-11 on the year.
