AMES, Iowa ? Ashley Killeen drove in two runs, including the 100^th of her career, and Alyssa Ransom tossed a two-hit shutout as Iowa State defeated Texas Tech, 3-0, to pick up its first Big 12 win of the season.

Ransom (10-11) held the Red Raiders (17-21, 0-7 Big 12) hitless through 4 2/3 innings to get the win. The Round Rock, Texas native also struck out five and didn't allow a ball out of the infield until the seventh inning.

While Ransom was cruising through the game, Iowa State (22-30, 1-6 Big 12) got on the board in the first as Ashley Killeen singled to score Fallon Johnson, who had also singled to lead off the game. The run batted in was the 100^th of Killeen's career, making her the first player in school history to reach the mark.

Killeen earned her second RBI of the game in the third inning as Courtney Wray crossed home plate when Killeen was hit by a pitch from Texas Tech hurler Ashly Jacobs (13-12).

The Cyclones rounded out the scoring in the fifth when freshman Amanda Bradberry roped a single to centerfield that scored Katie Reichling and made it 3-0.

Ransom allowed just one base runner in the sixth and seventh innings but was able to get out of both innings unscathed to pick up her 43^rd career win.

Reichling and Fallon Johnson each collected two hits for the Cyclones, who had seven hits in the game. Alex Johnson, Killeen and Bradberry each chipped in a hit in the win.

Killeen, the school's record holder for being hit by a pitch, was plunked twice in the game.

Brandy Moulin and Jennifer Bowers had the only hits for Texas Tech, which drops its eighth straight game.

The Cyclones will go for the series sweep tomorrow at noon at the Southwest Athletics Complex.
