The Cyclones (19-9) had just tied the game in the top half of the seventh. After being shutout by Creighton starter Tara Oltman through six innings, Amanda Bradberry doubled to right center for her third hit of the game, scoring Courtney Wray to tie it at 1-1.
Creighton (16-10) took the first lead of the game just an inning earlier as catcher TJ Eadus belted her fifth homer of the season, this one a solo shot, to put the Bluejays in front 1-0.
Bradberry had three hits while Wray and Alex Johnson had ISU's other singles.
Ford (3-2) took the loss despite a strong outing. The senior allowed just five hits while striking out six.
Oltman (11-4) picked up the win, allowing five hits while striking out seven.
