Iowa State Faces #8 TCU in Big 12 Quarterfinals

AMES, Iowa – The Iowa State soccer team faces eighth-ranked TCU in the Big 12 Soccer Championship Quarterfinals Sunday in Round Rock, Texas. Iowa State enters as the number eight seed, while the Horned Frogs are the top seed. Kickoff is set for 11:30 a.m. and will be available on Big 12 Now on ESPN+.
KEY STORYLINES
-With a 1-0 victory over Kansas State on Thursday, and a 2-0 win by Texas over Kansas, Iowa State locked up the final spot in the 2021 Big 12 Soccer Championship.
-The Cyclones are making their 12th appearance in the tournament and the first since 2018.
-Iowa State and TCU have never met in the Big 12 Championship.
-The Cyclones are 0-10-2 all-time in the tournament.
-Iowa State and Texas A&M have twice gone to penalty kicks in the tournament, with Iowa State advancing in 1999 and the Aggies advancing in 2007.
