AMES, Iowa – Coming off a 7-4 Cy-Hawk victory over the Iowa Hawkeyes, Iowa State returns to the Cyclone Sports Complex this weekend to host the Baylor Bears in its final home Big 12 action of the 2023 season. The Cyclones will look to earn their first Big 12 series win of the season, having won three straight over the Bears.

Milaysia Ochoa (.329) and Mikayla Ramos (.297) lead the team in batting average and are the only Cyclones with more than 30 hits on the season. Ochoa has a team-high 11 doubles and 11 home runs, while while also leading the team in RBI with 25. Carli Spelhaug has earned the most walks and has a team-high 12 stolen bases on the season.
ISU rotates four primary pitchers in the circle, as Karlie Charles (4-2) holds the lowest ERA on the team at a 2.86. Charles has walked just nine players this season, the fewest among Big 12 players. Saya Swain (5-8) has pitched the most innings, 82, of any member of the staff and leads the team in strikeouts, as she currently sits at 109. Freshman Jaiden Ralston and fifth-year senior Ellie Spelhaug round out the main pitching rotation for the Cyclones.

Iowa State will be back in action on Wednesday, April 3, when it welcomes the Drake Bulldogs to the Cyclone Sports Complex in what will be both the final home and nonconference game of the 2023 campaign. Wednesday's game will be broadcast on Big 12 Now on ESPN+ and is set to begin at 4 p.m.
