No. 10 Iowa State hosts UNI for its final non-conference contest of the regular season on Sunday. The Cyclones are looking to complete the sweep of in-state foes for their first "state championship" since the 2021-22 season.
FOUR THINGS
4 – Iowa State junior Addy Brown recorded the fourth triple-double in program history against Norfolk State (Nov. 16), tallying 11 points, 10 rebounds and 11 assists. It marks the first time in over a decade that a Cyclone achieved the feat.
10 – The Cyclones were picked 10th in the Week 6 Associated Press national poll. It marks the third time this season and 62nd week in program history that ISU has been ranked as a Top 10 team, all in the Bill Fennelly era.
14 – The Cyclones' "Big 3" of Addy Brown, Audi Crooks and Jada Williams rank in the top three of the Big 12 in 14 statistical categories, leading seven (NCAA Stats).
78 – Audi Crooks has scored in double figures in 78 straight games. It marks the longest streak by a Cyclone women's basketball player and longest active streak in NCAA women's basketball. Crooks also holds the longest streak by a Big 12 women's basketball player since Brittney Griner's 116-game run from 2010-2013.
SERIES NOTES
The Cyclones meet the Panthers for the 52nd time in series history and 22nd time in Ames. Overall, Iowa State has won 17 of the last 20 matchups and four of the last five played in Hilton Coliseum. ISU is 38-5 against UNI when the Cyclones score 65 or more points. The last time the two squads met in Hilton, six Cyclones scored in double-figures against the Panthers in December 2023, led by Audi Crooks and Kelsey Joens with 16 points apiece.
LAST TIME OUT
No. 10 Iowa State took down No. 11 Iowa in a battle of unbeatens to clinch the 2025-26 Iowa Corn Cy-Hawk Series for ISU. Audi Crooks led ISU with 30 points, her 78th straight double-figure scoring outing and 50th career game with 20-plus points. Addy Brown added 20 points on 7-of-11 shooting from the floor and 12 rebounds. Jada Williams chiped in 11 points and a career-high 12 assists with a steal as well. Crooks, Brown and Williams each recorded double-doubles, the second time this season the Cyclones have managed the feat (Brown, Crooks, A. Williams vs. Norfolk State; Nov. 16).
CYCLONES GARNER PRESEASON ATTENTION
Iowa State's trio of Addy Brown, Audi Crooks and Jada Williams has received national attention in the preseason, appearing on several watch lists and collecting preseason honors. Brown and Crooks were voted to the All-Big 12 Preseason Team and appeared on the Naismith Trophy Preseason, USBWA Ann Meyers Drysdale Award and Wooden Award watch lists. When the Naismith Starting 5 award watch lists were announced, Williams (Nancy Lieberman Award), Brown (Katrina McClain Award) and Crooks (Lisa Leslie Award) were all three selected to their respective position 20-woman watch lists.
CHANGING OF THE (POINT) GUARD
Following the graduation of five-year starting point guard Emily Ryan, Iowa State signed Arizona transfer Jada Williams to direct the Cyclone offense in 2025-26. Williams arrives in Ames following two seasons with the Wildcats where she averaged 12.7 points per game as a sophomore, increasing her average to 13.4 points per contest during conference play.
Through her first 11 games as a Cyclone, the Kansas City, Missouri native has averaged 10.8 points, 3.5 rebounds and 7.2 assists per contest. Her assist rate has increased by over 3.5 dimes per game from last season. She finished 8-of-13 from the floor and 5-of-5 at the free throw line against Indiana for her first 20-plus point game as a Cyclone, just two off her career high with 23 points. The 5-8 guard finished with her first career double-double against Valparaiso (Nov. 12) with 11 points and 10 assists, a career high. Williams tallied 11 points and posted a career-high 12 assists against Iowa (Dec. 10) for her fourth double-double of the season. She ranks 20th in NCAA DI women's basketball with her double-double count.
OFF TO THE RACES
The Cyclones have started the 2025-26 campaign with a 11-0 record, the best start to a season in over a decade. Â ISU's 11-0 start to the season is the fourth time in program history, all in the Bill Fennelly era, the Cyclones have remained unbeaten through the first 11 regular season games. With a win against UNI, Iowa State would move to 12-0, the best start since 2013-14 (14-0), the program's top record to open a season.
