Iowa State Announces Women’s Basketball Non-Conference Schedule

AMES, Iowa – Iowa State women's basketball has announced its non-conference schedule for the 2025-26 season.
The slate features nine regular season home games, one road game and two neutral site contests over Thanksgiving break. Iowa State will also host UW-Oshkosh for an exhibition contest on Tuesday, October 28. The Cyclones open the season on November 3 with Education Day against St. Thomas. ISU continues opening week with a matchup against Southern on Wednesday, November 5. The Jaguars notched 21 wins last season and reached the NCAA Women's Basketball Championship for the first time in school history. The Cyclones close out the week against Sacred Heart on Sunday, November 9.
Iowa State hosts three more home contests in the month of November, including Valparaiso (November 12), Norfolk State (November 16) and Mercyhurst (November 23). Norfolk State also qualified for the 2025 NCAA Women's Basketball Championship. The Cyclones travel to Drake on November 20 for their first in-state matchup and lone road contest.
Iowa State will take part in Coconut Hoops (Fort Myers, Fla.) over the Thanksgiving break, meeting Marquette on Friday, November 28 for a 10:00 a.m. tip-off against the Golden Eagles. ISU will also face Indiana or Gonzaga on Sunday, November 30 while in the Sunshine State.
In December, ISU hosts three key matchups in Hilton Coliseum to close out the non-conference schedule. The Cyclones return to action on Sunday, December 7 against Northern Illinois. On Wednesday, December 10, Iowa State plays host to in-state rival Iowa for the annual Iowa Corn Cy-Hawk Series game. The Cyclones close out the week with their final in-state matchup of the season against UNI on Sunday, December 14.
