Cyclones Finish a Shortened Prestige at PGA West

LA QUINTA, Calif. - Due to high winds, the Prestige at PGA West had to cancel the third round. Results were deemed final after the second round, where Iowa State finishes in 14th (289-297=586, +18).Â
Paul Beauvy finishes tied for 41st (+4) after two rounds, carding three birdies in the tournament. Dianchao Wu also ties for 41st, finishing with three birdies and an eagle, his third of his career.Â
Owen Sawyer ties for 55th (+6) and tallied a team-high seven birdies. With his second birdie of the first round, Sawyer eclipsed the 250 birdie mark on his career. The junior has carded 255 birdies in his three years with the Cyclones. Jackson McCommon and Zach May both tied for 66th (+8). McCommon and May each carded six birdies in their two rounds.Â
After two rounds of play in the individual tournament, Jesse Trembath was tied for 4th (-1). The freshman carded eight birdies through his first two career rounds. Drew Hensen tied for 30th (+9) and tallied five birdies.
#28 Stanford wins the shortened Prestige at PGA West at five-under par, three strokes ahead of #15 Texas Tech. Oregon's Aiden Krafft earns medalist honors, shooting -5.
The Cyclones will look to bounce back as they head to Bluffton, S.C. in two weeks for the Colleton River Collegiate. The tournament will begin on Sunday, March 1st and conclude on Monday, March 2nd.
