AMES, Iowa - Iowa State (9-13, 3-8 Big 12) next hosts Colorado Wednesday before heading to Lubbock to meet Texas Tech Saturday. ISU will meet Colorado for the first time in conference play since 2010. Christy Johnson-Lynch holds 206 career Big 12 victories, one off tying the third most in Big 12 coaching history.

2 – Pam McCune brought in her second 10-block match of the season at K-State. McCune had the first 10-block match by a Cyclone in five years vs. Illinois.
4 – Brooke Stonestreet totals four Big 12 Defensive Player of the Week career honors, becoming the fifth in program history to earn at least four. ISU holds 65, over double the amount of the next-highest total (31 by Texas and Baylor).
9 – Morgan Brandt moved into the program top 10 in career assists at No. 18 TCU, now ranking ninth with 2,508. Stonestreet also ranks ninth in career digs with 1,374, just five away from T-No. 8.
20 – The 2024 season marks Johnson-Lynch's 20th season leading Iowa State.
The 2024 Cyclones
Two Cyclones have been making their way up the all-time program leaderboard this season. Brooke Stonestreet entered the top 10 in career digs and now stands five away from tying the eighth most currently with 1,374. Junior Morgan Brandt ranks ninth in career assists with 2,508.
Stonestreet and Rachel Van Gorp have earned Big 12 weekly awards this season. Stonestreet earned her fourth defensive nod to become one of five in ISU history with four while Van Gorp earned Big 12 Rookie of the Week. Van Gorp began as ISU's libero before transitioning into a hitting role. Van Gorp has put up three double-doubles, 255 digs, 65 kills and a team-leading 22 aces.
Johnson-Lynch continues her 20th season leading Iowa State, a program she has transformed. Johnson-Lynch holds 379 career victories with 206 of those being Big 12 wins to rank fourth in all-time conference history. Iowa State totals 10 20-win seasons under Johnson-Lynch, including the past two seasons.
The Opponents
Iowa State and Colorado will meet for the first time since 2013, where the Buffaloes won in four in the NCAA Tournament First Round. Wednesday's match marks the first matchup in Big 12 play between the two since Nov. 16, 2010 where the Cyclones won in a sweep at Hilton. Colorado leads the Big 12 with 150 aces this season, and Taylor Simpson ranks No. 1 in the conference with 931 assists.
Iowa State won the first matchup with Texas Tech this season in a sweep at Hilton, and looks to take the fourth straight win in the series. TTU most recently won in three at Houston. Southern Miss transfer Mia Wesley leads the Red Raiders with 303 kills at 3.33 per set.
