AMES, Iowa – The Iowa State men and women earned All-Academic team status by the United States Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) while 21 Cyclones received individual All-Academic honors, announced Monday.
A total of nine Cyclone women picked up individual All-Academic awards. Rachel Joseph and Maelle Porcher earn the third of their career, while Makayla Clark, Kiki Connell, Kailynn Gubbels and Bella Heikes total their second. Karynne David, Becca Heitzig and Kaia Holtkamp are first-time honorees.
On the men's side, Rodgers Kiplimo and Silas Winders total three, and Jack Latham, Quinton Orr and Garret Wagner earn their second. First-time honorees include Emanuel Galdino, Justin Gleason, Gus Langford, Said Mechaal, Daniel Norris, Thai Thompson and Ryan Watts.
Teams become eligible for the team award with a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or greater. Student-athletes earn individual honors with a cumulative GPA of 3.25 or greater while ranking in either the top-96 of a championship individual event or the top-48 of a championship relay event in indoor season, or must have participated in any round of the NCAA Division I Outdoor Track and Field Championships.
